Leaning on many years of experience, I offer the following services. Please use the consult link below so that we can discuss your needs.

1-1 feedback and writing support: I’ll read your work-in-progress and provide feedback to help improve the flow, structure, and clarity, much like I did for my creative writing students at Royal Holloway. We can also discuss plans and outlines if you are struggling to get started on a new project or stuck on an old one. $100 per 1-hour meeting, includes up to 20 pages (~6,000 words) of prose; block of five for $450.

Writerly advice: I have been pitching my work for ten years, and I know it is daunting to get started. This service is for personalised advice on placing your essays for publication, or the process of seeking out an agent or independent publisher. I can share recommendations and resources to help you manage your search, and guidance on querying in general. $55 for 45 minutes (includes my guide I Wrote A Book. Now What?, developed on the back of my successes and failures).

Why me?

• I hold an MA and PhD in Creative Writing from Royal Holloway, University of London.

• I’ve taught both BA and MA creative writing and literature courses, leading workshops and teaching the practicalities of writing.

• I’ve spent many years “breaking in” to writing, and I’m ready to share my experience to help others create a plan to search agents and publishers, pitch, and more.

• I’ve ghostwritten several family memoirs for those other services 😉
